Utopia Term
A Utopia is a perfect or ideal society or community . This Literary term presents an Imaginary Place that gives the notion of a perfect society to the readers . In utopia , there are not problems like war , disease , poverty , oppression , discrimination , inequality etc .
The word 'Utopia' was coined from greek roots by 'Sir Thomas More'. In 1516 , More wrote a book callled 'Utopia'.
Utopia is derived from two Greek Words :
- Eutopia (good place)
- Outopia (no place)
Utopia have Characteristics such as :
- Peaceful Government
- Equality for citizens
- Chances of an Education , HealthCare , Employment etc
- A Safe Environment
Plato's "Republic" and Swift's "Gulliver Travels" are the best examples of utopia
