Apparently with No Surprise
"Apparently
with No Surprise" is a poem written by Emily Dickenson. She was a major American
poet. Her poems deal with basic human concerns such as love, pain, fame, death, and immortality.
In
“Apparently with No Surprise,” Emily writes about the power, cold attitude of
nature, and the philosophy of life. The situation described in this poem is
simple. Frost beheads a happy flower accidentally in play. Here, the surprise
is that the real killer is “blond”. It is clearly the sun, which stopped its
warmth and allowed the frost to do its dirty job. The sun simply observes the
working of nature. These are natural processes. Nature works according to God’s
wishes.
Emily
uses this example of nature as a metaphor for life. Nature follows the
discipline made by God. The violence of nature is approved by God, Whatever
plight comes to his creation, He is the one to oversee their life cycle.
In
Nutshell, it can be said that nature all work is done with the will of God.
Nobody
can break the laws of nature. Our life is governed by nature according to the
wishes of God.
