Consonants: A consonant is a speech sound that's not a vowel. The word "consonant" means the sound produced with the help of some other sounds (vowels). In fact, the word consonant is greek in its origin. In other words, It is a sound that is produced by complete
obstruction of the air stream generated by the lungs. There are 24 consonants in English. The sounds of consonants are divided into two categories.

- Place of Articulation
Manner of Articulation includes 'plosive', Affricate, nasal, lateral, Fricative, frictionless continuant, Semi-vowel.
Place of articulation includes Bilabial , Labio-dental , dental , alveolar , post-alveolar, palato-alveolar , palatal , velar , Glottal .
